Good to know

This calculator follows the standard order of operations: multiplication and division come before addition and subtraction, so 2 + 3 × 4 = 14. Use parentheses to change the order.

% divides the number before it by 100, so 50% becomes 0.5. For questions like "what is 15% of 200", the percentage calculator is quicker.

Computers can’t store some decimals exactly, which is why 0.1 + 0.2 often shows 0.30000000000000004. This calculator rounds to 12 significant digits, so you see a clean 0.3.
