How to use
- Pick a length and the character types — five passwords are generated right away.
- Press Copy next to the one you like. Press Generate for a new batch.
- Writing it down? Turn on "Exclude look-alikes" so 0/O and l/1 can’t be confused.
Good to know
Passwords are created with your browser’s cryptographically secure random generator (Web Crypto API). They are never sent over the network or stored.
Strength is shown as entropy in bits: each extra bit doubles the guessing effort. Aim for 60+ bits for everyday accounts and 80+ for important ones. A 16-character password using all character types has about 105 bits.
Most important of all: use a different password for every site, keep them in a password manager and turn on two-factor authentication.
FAQ
Is it safe to generate passwords online?
Here, yes — everything happens in your browser and nothing is transmitted. Close the page and the passwords are gone.
How long should a password be?
At least 12 characters, ideally 16 or more. Length adds more strength than extra character types.
A site won’t accept symbols.
Turn symbols off and add a few characters to keep similar strength.
